About Dr. Dan Koster
Hi! I’m Dr. Dan. As a clinical psychologist specializing in PTSD, anxiety, and depression, my approach is grounded in treatments that research shows actually work. While I’ve trained extensively at the postdoctoral level in protocols such as Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD and Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depression, I believe effective treatment is both science and art—a balance between evidence-based techniques and the unique relationship built between client and therapist.
At intake, I listen deeply, take a thorough history, and provide a range of options for how we might proceed. My ultimate goal? To put myself out of a job. When clients graduate from therapy with the skills and resilience they need, that’s my definition of success.
I work with adults navigating depression, anxiety, major life transitions, and the aftermath of traumatic experiences.
I provide in-person therapy in Mount Washington (Baltimore, MD) and telehealth services throughout Maryland and PSYPACT-participating states, including Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.
